Latvijas Banka collector coins have won awards in two categories in the world's most representative and largest international coin competition Coin of the Year Awards (COTY).

For the 39th time, an international jury evaluated coins which were issued in 2020 in 10 categories. The competition was sponsored by the numismatic magazine World Coin News, a division of Active Interest Media (AIM, USA).

The silver collection coin "Linden Leaf" has been recognised as the best coin in the world in the category "Best Silver Coin".

The collector coin "Personal Freedom" won the nomination of the "Most Inspirational Coin".
