On Thursday, November 29, Latvijas Banka will issue "Wisdom of Life in Silver", a special silver coin set in a beautiful gift box. The coin set contains two silver coins: "Fairy Tale Coin III. The Old Man's Mitten" and "Smith Forges in the Sky".
Latvian folk songs and fairy tales are a treasure trove of never-ending folk wisdom that preserves relevance throughout times. Fairy tales and folk songs make us think about the real values of relationships and life: harmony, compassion and empathy. We can reach harmony and increase the common well-being only if we cooperate and help each other.
The coin set dedicated to Latvian folklore comes in a special gift box and will be a nice gift for Christmas or for the New Year, both for adults and children.
