How can I order coins and other numismatic items?

Numismatic items (coins and sets of coins; hereinafter referred to as "items") can be purchased on Latvijas Banka's electronic trading platform www.e-monetas.lv. Select the items, add them to the cart, select the type of delivery, indicate the address and any other required information and pay for the items.

 

How can I pay?

You can use the following payment cards: VISA, VISA Electron, MasterCard or Maestro.

 

Are there any purchase limits?

The limit per purchase transaction on Latvijas Banka's electronic trading platform www.e-monetas.lv is set at EUR 1 000 (VAT and delivery costs included).

The seller has the right to set a quantity limit, i.e., the maximum number of items per purchase. For instance, when expecting particularly high demand for a specific coin, it is common practice to set a quantity limit per buyer.

 

How can I know that the order has been placed?

You will receive an e-mail confirming your order. If you have not received such an e-mail, please check your spam folder. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

 

Will a wholesale price or a quantity discount be applied to purchases on the electronic trading platform?

The quantity discount will be automatically applied to purchases of 10 (ten) or more items, in the same way as to the purchases made at the Cashier's Offices of Latvijas Banka. You will see the reference to it in your cart.

 

Can I pre-order an item?

It is not possible to pre-order an item. In order to receive updates on the latest offers and news, please subscribe to news on coins by indicating your e-mail address on Latvijas Bankas website.

 

How can I receive the purchased items?

You can pick up your purchase at the Cashier's Offices of Latvijas Banka in Riga or you can choose a courier delivery. The courier delivery service is provided by VAS "Latvijas Pasts" throughout Latvia.

International deliveries are provided by Ltd. "TNT Latvia".

 

What are the delivery costs?

The purchase can be picked up free of charge at the Cashier's Offices of Latvijas Banka.

When choosing a courier delivery, the service fee will be calculated upon the submission of the delivery details, depending on the total weight of the delivery and the specified delivery address.

Import duties, taxes, and charges are not included in the item price or shipping cost. These charges are the buyer's responsibility.

 

Do I have to receive the delivery in person or can I delegate another person to receive it?

When making the purchase, you can delegate another person to receive the delivery by putting the person's name and phone number in the additional information field. Please make sure that this person is aware of the expected delivery and the conditions for receiving it.

 

How many days will the courier delivery take?

The items will be delivered to the indicated address in the territory of Republic of Latvia within 8 (eight) working days as of the day of placing the order. You will receive the delivery notice in your e-mail one working day before the planned delivery day. The courier will contact you at the phone number indicated when placing the order. For international deliveries, abroad – within 10 (ten) working days from the date of placing the order.

 

How soon can I pick up my purchase at the Cashier's Offices of Latvijas Banka?

The purchased items can be picked up at the Cashier's Offices of Latvijas Banka (Bezdelīgu iela 3) from the 4th (fourth) until the 10th (tenth) working day as of receiving the purchase confirmation.

 

What happens if the item is not delivered?

If you have not received your item due to reasons beyond your control, we shall return all your money (including the delivery costs). Please see the terms of the distance contract stipulating the reimbursement procedure.

 

Can I withdraw from the purchase contract (the distance contract)?

You have the right to withdraw from the purchase contract within 14 (fourteen) days as of the day of delivery by informing the seller to that effect. In the event of withdrawal, you have the obligation to return all items purchased under the respective purchase contract to the seller. You will have to cover the returning costs. The withdrawal form is available here

Note that the capsule, the packaging, the gift packaging, the certificate and the box (if any) are considered part of the item. The capsule of a returned item must not be opened. The packaging of a set of coins and the gift packaging of a 2 euro commemorative coin must not be opened. Capsules, packagings, gift packagings, certificates and boxes (if any) must not be lost or damaged.

 

Can I receive Latvijas Banka's news in my e-mail?

In order to receive the news in your e-mail, please indicate your e-mail address on Latvijas Banka's website, in the field "Your e-mail:".
